Senior sessions always hit a little differently for me
The beautiful girl in this photo? I coached her in Pop Warner when she was just five years old.
Five.
And now somehow, she’s standing in front of my camera for her senior pictures.
I swear there are moments in life that make you realize just how quickly time is actually moving, and this was definitely one of them.
One of my favorite things about photographing seniors is getting to see who these kids have become. Some of them I’ve known since they were little. I’ve watched them grow up, change, find their personalities, figure out who they are, and suddenly they’re preparing to graduate and start an entirely new chapter of their lives.
And I get to photograph this tiny moment in between.
Not quite the little kid everyone remembers, but not quite out in the world on their own yet either.
That’s what I love about senior photography.
Yes, we’re creating beautiful photos. But we’re also freezing a version of them that their parents, and someday they themselves, are going to want to remember.
Because apparently you can blink and a five-year-old Pop Warner kid turns into a high school senior.
And I’m still trying to figure out how that happened so fast. ❤️
