Not all love stories are meant to last forever—and that’s okay.

We don’t talk about this enough, but some of the most powerful moments I’ve witnessed through my lens haven’t been proposals or weddings. They’ve been quiet endings. The moment someone chooses themselves. The moment they finally let go.

These “letting go” sessions… they’re some of my absolute favorites.

Why? Because you can see it—the shift. The light. The return.

There’s something almost sacred about capturing someone right after they’ve released what was no longer meant for them. You can see the way their shoulders drop, the way their eyes soften. The way the light starts to come back—not just in the frame, but in their soul.

Letting go isn’t weakness. It’s power.

It’s saying: I deserve peace. I deserve alignment. I deserve love that doesn’t make me question my worth.

No, relationships aren’t perfect. And they don’t have to be. But there’s something incredibly strong—and tender—about knowing when to stop fighting for something that’s already slipping through your fingers. Not with bitterness, but with grace.

To the ones choosing themselves this season:

You are not broken. You are becoming.

And your story, exactly as it is right now, is worth remembering.

If you’re in that in-between space—grieving, healing, growing—I see you. And I’d be honored to help you see yourself again, too.

Because the moment you let go?

That’s when the light returns.
