This morning, I’m heading to my hair appointment—and I can already feel the shift happening.

It’s not just about the color or the cut (though I’m definitely excited for both). It’s about what it means to sit in that chair and say, "Today, I’m choosing me."

There’s something deeply empowering about taking time for yourself—especially as a woman who’s constantly pouring into everyone else. Whether it’s a quick trim or a bold new look, these salon moments are where I reconnect with the version of me who’s confident, radiant, and ready to take on the world.

Getting your hair done is a form of self-care, and more than that—it’s an act of self-love. And yes, it’s part of my glow-up routine, because when I feel good on the inside, it shows up in every photo I take (and every one I’m in).

As a photographer, I see this transformation in my clients all the time. The right hairstyle can completely shift your energy during a session. You smile differently. You pose differently. You feel different.

So if you're wondering whether that salon visit is worth it, let me say this: It absolutely is.

Because today, I’m walking into that salon with messy roots and a to-do list a mile long. But I’m walking out as her—the woman I’m becoming. And that’s worth celebrating.
